Dr. Paula Zeestraten-Bartholomeus is a Dutch psychologist, researcher, and innovator in mental health care, best known as the developer of ReAttach Therapy—a transdiagnostic, non-invasive intervention aimed at improving emotional regulation, stress management, and personal development across various psychological conditions. With a Ph.D. in Psychiatry and Neuropsychology, she founded the ReAttach Academy and has a background in special education and child and adolescent psychiatry.

Her work focuses on creating accessible, growth-oriented therapeutic approaches for both children and adults. In addition to developing ReAttach Therapy, she introduced other models such as W.A.R.A. and New Mind Creation. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of the ReAttach Affect Coach Journal, which promotes interdisciplinary research in psychology and therapy. Dr. Zeestraten-Bartholomeus advocates for a shift in psychological care that emphasizes developmental support over extensive diagnostics and labeling.
